Specific
products include:
1. RACE
PACKAGE: Specifically tailored for racing skippers and navigators.
Weather Summaries and Forecasts beginning approximately five days from race
start. They are optimized to tactically exploit expected wind and sea conditions.
Includes 6-day forecast, weather system trends, route recommendation, satellite imagery,
tropical cyclone warnings, sea surface temperature, solar/lunar data, plus
other information as appropriate.
2. DEPARTURE
PACKAGE: Designed for cruising and delivery skippers and navigators.
Includes voyage planning, one 6 day wind and seas forecast, route recommendation, tropical
cyclone warnings, satellite imagery, sea
surface temperature map, solar/lunar data, plus other information as
appropriate.
3. ENROUTE
WEATHER UPDATES: Transmitted as often as every 12 hours to vessels at
sea via email using the internet or telephone. Includes weather summary, a 6-day wind/seas
forecast, updated route recommendation, tropical cyclone
warnings, plus other information as appropriate. Transmitted on a
customer-defined schedule usually every two to three days. Vessel needs
internet access or telephone for verbal updates.
4. CUSTOMIZED
SUPPORT: Tailored service to support unique operations. Some common
examples may be identifying most favorable windows of opportunity for
events, creating custom weather maps, providing daily forecasts, etc.
5. AT
SEA START UP AND WEATHER UPDATES: In lieu of departure packages, a
vessel at sea can be supported via internet email with similar information
as provided in departure packages including 6 day forecasts, route
recommendations, and Enroute Weather Updates.
6. DAILY TRACKING SERVICE:
If daily position/weather reports are received from your vessel, your
position and reported weather data will be plotted and compared to
forecasted conditions. If there is significant difference, then an Update
may be sent. Free with purchase
of above Enroute Weather Updates.
7. PERSONAL
WEATHER BRIEFING: Onsite personal explanation of forecasts and
information provided in race and departure packages. If requested, training
on weather chart and satellite image interpretation can be arranged.
8. COMMERCIAL
FORECASTS: Includes daily weather summaries and two-day forecasts
emphasizing winds and sea conditions tailored to your operations. Longer
range forecast can be provided.
9. TROPICAL
CYCLONE WARNINGS: When threatened, tropical cyclone warnings are
provided for your selected area of interest worldwide. Includes 72 hour
forecast storm, storm discussion, and local warnings.
10. CLIMATOLOGY
AND ARCHIVED WEATHER DATA: Includes historical weather and oceanographic
conditions worldwide. Metrics are provided in graphs, tables, and
other illustrations.
11. TELEPHONE
